Obituary of Kenneth Edward Sarvis

Kenneth Edward Sarvis Pulteney: passed away unexpectedly at the age of 66 on Saturday June 6, 2009 at his home in Pulteney, NY. Mr. Sarvis was born on May 7, 1943 in Jamaica Queens, NY. Kenny is survived by his children, Cara Ann Rice and Timothy William Sarvis; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Chad, Camryn, Ryan and Maureen; brothers, William, Raymond and Joseph; other relatives and many friends. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gladys and his loving wife, Maureen. Kenny worked at Xerox Corporation for 41 years and retired in 2007. He previously served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Armed Forces and as an Assistant Fire Chief for the Volunteer Fire Association of Tappan, where he remains an honorary member. Graveside Service will be held at Rockland Cemetery (at the top of the hill) in Sparkill, NY on Saturday June 13th at 12:00 PM. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life reception at DelArdes in Orangeburg, beginning at 1 PM. Kenny's family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Volunteer Fire Association of Tappan in his memory.
