Obituary of Donald R. Koerner

Donald R. Koerner, M. D. Penfield: April 9, 2009 at age 85. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Arlene; 3 children, Jean Stern Edwardsen, Richard ( Pamela) Koerner and James (Hollis) Koerner; 4 grandchildren, Sarah, Megan, Kyle and Kayla; sister, Evelyn Connor. Dr. Koerner is a 1940 graduate of Aquinas Institute and a 1946 graduate of the University of Rochester Medical School. He had a private practice from 1952-1967. In 1967, Dr. Koerner joined the medical department at Xerox where he worked until 1986. He is a former member of Penfield Country Club and enjoyed golf and bridge. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Sunday 6-8 PM. Dr. Koerner's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 11 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
