To the Tambasco family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Words never seem right at a time like this. We are so sorry for your loss.
I wanted to share a story with you. I might have already told you but it always brings a smile to my face.
Hunting Season had begun and Jim was ready to go. Abel, Tony and Jim left at the crack of dawn. They were loaded down with their gear and off they went. I went back to sleep.
Many, many hours later I came home from being out from doing some errands. I noticed that the garage door was open a bit. I hit the garage door and it began to open. Behind door number one there was not only a deer in the headlights, but also the three amigos with a liquid of some kind!!!!!!
I shut the door and drove away a little sick to my stomach remembering the sight. Also laughing when I thought of the three of them looking like 5 year old boys who had brought worms and mud covered friends in the house.
Although I would rather had smoked salmon I have to admit that the venison was really good!
This memory will live on in my minds eye forever.
In friendship,
Jim, Pat, Allie and Matt

Puhka rahus armas Abel.

I have many, many happy memories of visiting the Pintson house for family get-togethers! The large backyard and garden, smoking fish or other meat, swimming in the pool, Christmas celebrations, large meals, corona (is that what that game was called?), playing with cousins, etc., - all framed by the enthusastic presence of my Uncle Abel and Aunt Lembi. We'll all miss Abel as well as remember the good times. My best to all the relatives and I wish I and my family could be there with you. With deepest sympathy, Andrea

Onu Abel,
You will be missed by so many because you have touched the lives of so many. I will never forget coming to your house for a summer swim and walking with you through your backyard. You would tell me how deer would try to ruin your garden. I remember how you always showed me how to pick the perfect apple. Our family memories will always be remembered. I admire the friendship you shared with my grandfather. May you be at peace.

Kallis Onu Abel,
I was so blessed to be able to see you on your last Sunday. Your quiet, calm demeanor added levity to a rather boisterous afternoon at my parents' home. My grandson was "showcased" and we drank coffee, while the womanfolk "oohed and aahed" at the baby. You held him and he looked up at your smiling eyes. Later you warned me that he'd hit his head with his banging spoon and seconds later.... he did. I'm so grateful to have that last memory of you!
When I was very little, you visited us often from Toronto. You and Lembi always brought us coloring books and new crayons. I can remember at an early age anticipating your visit and those gifts.
Much of my youth was spent at your home- playing with Tiina and Lisa. Our weekends were often spent together. I only remember you as a calm, caring person. I never saw you angry or "ruffled".
When I grew up celebrations and good times continued at your Jackson Road home. We were always welcome to swim, to take your apples and pears, to sample your vegetables. You made some great gin and tonics- strong I'd say.... but memorable.
Finally, you were such an important friend in my father's life! The stories shared about your youth are ones we will never forget. Some day, you and he will again be together and I know you'll treasure each other again! I have been so blessed to know you and to say you were my uncle. Sa oled mulle vaga armas! Kalli! Karen

I remember countless visits to Onu Abel and Tadi Lembi's house as a kid and swimming in their pool, walking out back in the garden with them, and having a nice lunch outside in their patio.
Onu Abel and Isa (Heino) taught me how to fish, with a rod and with a baseball bat, in the back of Isa's house during Salmon spawing season.
Onu Abel was a kind, loving, and enjoyable man whom will be missed by all.

A neighbor whose smiling face and friendly greeting will be missed. Always a short story about his garden, hunting or fishing or how Kodak had changed. For 18 years you seemed ageless on your daily walks, I will miss that happy face and quick chats and the gift of the Christmas poinsettia will forever remind us of you. Be at peace.

To a GREAT Father-in-Law who would always give a helping hand to his family and friends at a moments notice.
To a GREAT fishing buddy whether the fish were biting or not! To a GREAT friend just to hang with who always had a fun story to tell and enjoyed the outdoors with me over and over again. He shared his knowledge with us and his secret receipes! Thank you for all the memories and save us some of those big fish for when I get up there to fish with you again. Love always, Tony
