Obituary of John F. Devney

John F. Devney, Sr. of Brighton passed away December 30, 2012. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine and son-in-law, James A. Houghton. John is survived by his son, John Jr. (Barbara); daughters, Mary Devney, Patricia (Joseph) Brugnoni, Sally Devney Adams; 5 grandchildren, Heather (Justin) Grant, Meredith (Chris) Mullins, Kate (Justin) Hill, Courtney Houghton Hawkins (fianc Eric Shaw) and Craig Houghton; 7 great-grandchildren. John was a WWII US Army Air Corps Veteran. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the Friendly Home for their loving care given to John. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road Thursday 4-7 PM. John's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10 AM at St. Thomas More Church, 2617 East Avenue. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute to the Friendly Home of a charity of your choice in John's memory.
