Obituary of Mary T. Rued
On Friday, October 11, 2024 Mary Rued passed away at the age of 90. She is predeceased by her parents George and Mary (Jurenko) Roschetzky; husband, Keith Rued; brother, Edward (Mary) Roschetzky; sister, Margaret Yannacone. She is survived by her children, Catherine (John) Curtis, Anne (Richard) Strasser, Thomas Rued: grandchildren, Emily Curtis (Matthew Blakeley), Jack Curtis, Luke Strasser, Olivia Strasser; great grandchildren, Elijah Blakeley, Gabriel Blakeley and “granddog” Cooper.
Mary lived a life full of love and devotion to her husband, family and her faith. She married her husband Keith at 18 and built a life with him. Mary was a homemaker, spending her time cooking, cleaning and being there for her children. She was active in her church and ensured that her children were brought up in her faith. She lived a full life, from a girl scout leader, to organizing the family summer camping vacations, to traveling the world with Keith. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren- always loving to hug and hold them. A birthday was never complete without a call with a song or an ice cream cake.
In her later years she continued to live at home with the support of her son, continuing to cook, clean and go to mass until the end. She worried- about many things from her family, friends and the people in the world who were going through tragedies. She prayed her rosary constantly- living a true life of prayer. She left the world quietly and peacefully as she wanted. Those she left behind will miss her and treasure our memories.
Friends may call at the funeral home (1704 Penfield Road, 14526) on Thursday, October 17 from 4:00PM - 7:00PM.
