I knew Barbara for many years. Employment difficulties and personal losses combined with worsening multiple sclerosis dominated her later years. Of course, there were good times with family and friends, many giving generously of their time and effort. It was, however, always a struggle to find consistent and much needed personal assistance and financial stability. Nevertheless Barb was stubbornly determined to keep and maintain her farm house home, a bucolic enclave surrounded by suburban development and busy highways. Despite great personal sacrifice, she kept her "farm" intact. Barb was a "trooper," persevering and enduring. I salute you.

I worked with Barb for a number of years at Sutherland. After we left there, we would get together for monthly dinners with some of the people we worked with. If I remember at one of the dinners Tracy was there with her kids. Barb was always a welcome addition to our dinners. Barb was one of the nicest, kindest people I know. I'm sorry for your loss.
