Obituary of Deborah L Angell
Deborah (Debbie, Deb) Louella Angell passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024, at the age of 74, after a briefly intense battle with end stage MS. Debbie is predeceased by parents, Walfrid and Ruth (Russ) Olson, older brother Kenneth and twin brother, Dennis. Survived by her children, Dawn Blackburn (Angell), Jonathan and Emily (McElligott) Angell, Matthew and Amanda (Allen) Angell, Christene (Angell) Wolanski and Stephen; her 12 grandchildren, Hannah, Bethany, Julianna, Jacob, Katie, Lexington, Kaylee, O’Mallie, Rylan, Michael, Stephen, and Sarah, as well as several great-grandchildren; niece, Sharon, nephew, Eric, and former husband, Peter Angell.
Born in Thompson, Connecticut on August 20th, 1950, Deb moved to Canandaigua, NY in her early 20’s. She quickly fell in love and began a family while continuing to practice as an LPN off-and-on for over 40 years. Deb was also known as a lover of animals - especially cats – and throughout her adult life she nursed, fostered, and adopted dozens of pets. Debbie had a big heart for the down-trodden and was a champion of her family, quick to encourage and praise her loved ones.
Most importantly, she was a committed disciple of Jesus Christ from an early age who lived to serve others and selflessly gave of all that she had. It is her love of studying the Word of God and applying it to her life that will be her biggest legacy which will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Deb was a private person and didn’t like the spotlight on her. In keeping with her wishes, services will be held privately for a small number of immediate family. Interment will be at South Farmington Friends Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Humane Society or Samaritan’s Purse.
