Obituary of Roberta Etta Little

Roberta E. Little (née Telford), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt passed away peacefully on August 13, 2024, at the age of 93. 

Roberta was born on May 23, 1931, in Shawville, Quebec, Canada. She grew up on a dairy farm and enjoyed sharing memories of those days spent with her parents and siblings. Throughout her younger life, and while in Canada, Roberta was an active member of the Anglican Church in Radford, Quebec. 

In 1968 she moved from Canada to the United States with her beloved husband Manson and four children. After some time, she began a journey to pursue her education and received her nursing degree. For many years, Roberta was an LPN at the Blossom Nursing Home. Her commitment to her profession was paralleled by her devotion to her family. 

Roberta was an avid sewer, quilter, crocheter, and reader, activities that reflected her gentle and creative spirit. Many of her quilts are in the homes of her loved ones and will always be treasured.

She is survived by children, Glenn (Diane) Kankakee IL, Garry (Cyndie) Victor, NY, Dawn (Jim) Centofonti Smithburg, MD, and Scott, Henrietta, NY; as well as eight grandchildren, Nikki ( Chris) Henson, Amanda (Andy) Nestler, Corey (Susana) Centofonti, Brett Little, Ryan  (Kirsten) Little, Misty Little, Sonya (Troy) Little- Caddel, Paul (Cheryl) Little, fourteen great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Lorraine Webster, Brighton, NY, Joyce (Maynard) Thompson, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and Joan Russell, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Roberta also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, including her special niece, Jane Vande Sande and nephew, Randy Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Manson Little; her parents Gilbert and Norma Telford, and her siblings, Deborah, Roderick, and Marilyn Kerwin.

A service to honor her life will be held at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Penfield, NY, on October 11, 2024, with visitation from 12:00 noon until 1:00pm where a service will follow at 1:00pm.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI) at www.goodwillfingerlakes.org
