Obituary of Phyllis O. Dake

Phyllis O. Dake of Penfield and formerly of Walworth died December 25th 2008 at 84. Predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert W. Dake; daughter, Kathleen Teasley, daughter in law, Donna Dake, granddaughter, Katie Jo VanStaalduinen, great grandson Dylan Speenburgh; and brothers, Robert Brown and Theodore Wheaton. Phyllis is survived by her children, Gary Dake, Marjorie (Gerry) Loucks, Denise (Edward) Robertson, Susan (Clarence)VanStaalduinen, Robin (Douglas) Hatfield and Lorene (Rene) Porte; grandchildren, Sarah (John) Olson, Nancy (Scott) Mitchell, Karen (DJ) Speenburgh, Amy Loucks, Andrew (Toni) Robertson, Emily (Jason) Walker, Jeremy (Chandra) VanStaalduinen, Kathryn (Kevin) Flynn, Erica VanStaalduinen, Heidi (Pete) Strates, Jeffrey and Kimberly Hatfield, Christin and Eric Porte; great grandchildren, Emily and Erin Olson, Kari, Cameron and Trinity VanStaalduinen, Drew and Eli Walker, Olivia and Kalin Flynn, Despina Strates, Sarah Mitchell; brother, Donald Brown; sisterJanet Ferrian; cousin, Grace Finger; and several nieces and nephews. Phyllis was a member of Penfield United Methodist Church for 58 years where she served with the Flower Committee, Keenagers and United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Penfield Rotary Anns. A former member of Reverse Curves Quilt Club, Walworth Garden Club, 1924 Club, Webster Ridge Runners, Macedon Snow Rovers and she was an avid bridge player, belonging to several bridge groups including the Penfield and Webster Community Centers. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home Inc., 1704 Penfield Road, Sunday 3:00-6:00pm and Monday 6:00-9:00pm. Phyllis' Memorial; Service will take place Tuesday 2:00pm at Penfield United Methodist Church, 1795 Baird Road, Penfield. Interment will be private at Oakwood Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute to the church in her memory.
