Obituary of Helen S Kidd

Helen S. Kidd, 85, Fairport, NY passed away peacefully at her home on March 15, 2024 with her husband Wayne at her side. 

 

Helen is predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Stephens, her youngest son Steven and brothers; Harold L. Stephens and Robert J (Lois) Stephens. 

 

Helen is survived by her husband Wayne and son Scot (Mary) Kidd; grandsons, 

Matthew (Elizabeth) and great granddaughter McKenzie and Brian (Isabel) and great grandchildren, Jackson and Ansley. 

 

Helen was born in September,1938 and grew up in Hornell, NY. She graduated from Hornell High School and The Hornell Business School.  Her first job was with a law firm in Hornell. After marrying Wayne and moving to Rochester she continued working with several law firms.  She was hired By Gleason Corporation in 1983 as a Paralegal in the Corporate Patent Office and continued in that position for 17 years until she retired in 2000. 

 

She was a member of the Penfield Presbyterian Church for 57 years.  She served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher and assisted anywhere help was needed. Her family was very important to her and she loved them very much. 

 

Helen loved to travel and took several family trips to the West over the years. During retirement, Wayne and Helen took trips to Hawaii, Alaska, and cruises to the Caribbean and to the Panama Canal. There were memorable trips to England, Ireland and France seeing things that she thought she would never see.

Service: Penfield Presbyterian Church, Wednesday, April 3, 11:00 AM

               Luncheon to Follow.

 

Interment: Private, Oakwood Cemetery, Penfield NY
