I met Kathy in September of 1990. I put an add in the paper asking if someone would be willing to watch my new baby girl. I had clients, worked onPark Ave and needed to go back to work. Kathy quickly called me and said she’d been looking to watch a few children at her home for extra cash. After talking we realized that we both lived in the same neighborhood in Perinton. It was destiny! I brought Molly over at 7 days old, if you could have seen the look on her face. She smiled ear to ear. We instantly were great friends. Her laugh was contagious, her eyes were blinding blue and she felt comfy in her pjs drinking coffee in the morning. Like I, she was a chameleon dressing up for the upper crust parties, leather jackets for the casual spicy look, we could blend into any environment. She was a stranger to none. Her daughter Jess and my son PJ started kindergarten together and it was a fun, safe place to be. We worked together at Macedon Hills Diner together for extra bling money. She taught me how to order chicken gravy for my fries and we’d eat them at break. We planned birthday parties for our children and would jump in her Volvo thinking we were Thelma and Louise. I talked with her in February and laughed out loud as usual. She felt like crap but had a great attitude and was so thankful for her mom. She loved, loved her daughter with all her heart. She’s not suffering anymore and I know she’s looking down smiling at all of us or laughing at us. Lol She was one of a kind. There will never be another one and I’m proud to say she was my friend and confidant. I miss her and will always keep her close to my heart.

Kathy, As your mother's friend, I first met you some 39 years ago. Always a beauty with a beautiful soul. I will forever remember your kind heart, endless humor, almost constant laughter, and love of animals of all kind. I will remember too how incredibly talented and gifted you were, especially in making your home a showplace, a contemporary walk through Architectural Digest. You will always remain in my thoughts as will your loving mother and daughter Jessica. May you rest in peace and our paths cross again. Much love to your family, Oksana (and husband Ronald).

My name is Jackie Dunning, I’ve known kath since we both worked together at the Princess Restaurant 40 years ago. As time would have it as we both had daughters at the same time and both named them Jessica who went to kindergarten together at the same school and became friends also. Back in the day we had a blast together and Kathy always made me laugh. I’m so sorry Jess for your loss. I think about you guys all the time.
