My heartfelt sympathy to you, Bettie. I am sending prayers of strength and comfort. John was a great fellow. He was also so kind and patient particularly when we would be up to our usual festival going antics - like locking ourselves out of the car!! I think he was the one that dubbed us Lucy and Ethel. I will always remember his kind smile and easy going look at life. He will be surely missed. Our faith tells us John is in a better place - free of pain and suffering where all the love he gave and got remains with him and us. I look forward to meeting him again when it is my time. John was one of the great ones. I had the chance to cycle with him a number of times and fix his kitchen overhead light fixture. And their leaky downstairs bathroom. I met Bettie at work and we also had the chance to get out on the road cycling. Our thoughts are with you my dear friend Bettie. I haven't had the chance to ride with either of the two nicest people I know since you moved away but the fond memories remain. John always had a smile on his face and a welcoming manner. Take care my friend Bettie.
