Laurie and family I send my deepest sympathies to you at the loss of Dr Sorge. I have many memories of Dr Sorge calling the Cardiology office at TGH an taking care of his patients needs. Laurie I will cherish our last conversation at the Hospital as we had many laughs together remembering the fun times at TGH. Laurie and sweet family…I was so sad to hear of Dr. Sorge’s passing. He was Lindsay’s pediatrician and I will never forget his kindness. One Saturday I called and he met me at his office as Lindsay was not feeling well and we were getting ready to go on vacation. She had a double ear infection . That is just one of many, many examples of his care and kindness.
I can’t imagine the loss you are all feeling and I am just so sorry.
I watched the beautiful video tribute and really felt like I got a peek into your incredible family. A true blessing.

My family was in Dr. Sorge's care for so long I can't remember when we started. Our children went to school together. When our son, Carl, died in 2014 he and Laurie brought us great comfort when we called. He caught Mike's weak heart at just the right time to send him in for stints. We were so saddened to hear of his passing. He was one of the last home town doctors who had a gentle hand, a caring heart and a personal touch to his doctoring. Our family loved the Sorge's so much for their kindness. God rest his soul. Michael, Mary and Katrina (and Carl in Heaven who will now be with Anthony)

Dr. Sorge was my primary care doctor from the beginning of his medical practice in Fairport to the time he retired. Both Dr. Sorge and Laurie were very dedicated to their patients’ wellbeing. It was Dr. Sorge whose timely action ultimately led to my being diagnosed with a rare and deadly lung disease. As many have noted, Dr. Sorge and Laurie always made visits to the doctor a warm and supportive experience. Lois and I have also been fortunate to have had Tony and Laurie as friends through the Christ Episcopal community in Pittsford.
Our prayers and sincere sympathy go out to Laurie and the rest of the Sorge family as they cope with the loss of this very special person in their lives.

I was heartbroken when I learned of Tony's passing and want to extend my condolences to Laurie and the rest of the family. I had the privilege of working alongside Tony and Laurie, while also being one of their many patients. I am saddened to learn of Dr. Sorge's passing. I was fortunate to be a patient of his for a number of years when I lived in Fairport. He was not only an outstanding physician but also a caring person. Dr. Sorge took time to listen and get to know those he cared for. My condolences to Laurie, also a kind and caring person, and the family on this loss. May his memory be a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to have him come into their life. May he rest in eternal peace.

I became a patient of Tony’s shortly after we moved to Fairport in the early 80’s, and was still with him when he retired. He provided the kind of personal care that a village doctor is known for and is rarely found any more. He is truly missed.

I was one of Dr. Tony's child patients, and now with children of my own, I can appreciate even more the care he gave me. I remember how gentle he was and I always knew he would make me feel better. As a child, I always felt comforted by him and Laurie. I wish every child could feel the same way about their physician. We lost a great one. Tony was a caring and giving brother-in-law and friend. When I think of him, these are images that come up: him clearly explaining detailed medical information to me and others, his incredible partnership with Laurie both in marriage and in medicine, people in the local and Wanakena (Adirondacks) communities appreciating his incredible service, his support for Maggie and me and for Bridget and me, his deep love for his children and grandchildren and him kissing them on their heads.
