Obituary of Maureen J Derleth
Maureen Jones Derleth died peacefully in the presence of her children on Sunday October 8, 2023. Maureen was born in Wayland NY on April 19,1932 and moved to Rochester NY in 1943. She is predeceased by her parents Francis and Marjory Jones, sisters Gilda Lecceardone, Margaret Kemp and brother James Jones.
Maureen is survived by her 4 sons, Timothy (Marylee), Robert (Sandra), John, Steven and 1 daughter Maureen (Nelson) Krocke. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brother Norbert E. Jones and very dear friend Dora Knopick.
Maureen was employed by Eastman Kodak Company as Chief Operator for many years and retired in 1991. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family and friends. Maureen always put family and friends before herself. She walked in faith every day and exemplified the true meaning of Love and Gods promise of everlasting life. She will be truly missed.
Calling hours will be held at Jennings, Nulton and Mattle Funeral Home, Penfield NY on Thursday October 12, 4-7 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday October 13 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Penfield NY In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Cure Childhood Cancer or St. Joseph's Church in Maureen's memory.
