Dear Florance Family, It is with heavy hearts that we send our condolences to all of you!!! What a beautiful, classy lady Doris was. She always looked fine in her beautiful clothes with matching shoes and purses. She was a great Christian lady who loved her Lord and loved serving her Lord. She and Bill welcomed us to their home many times after we moved to Fairport. We were lucky to be on the receiving end of their great hospitality. I loved serving with Doris in many capacities. We worked together at VBS. We worked together on Altar Guild and Memorial receptions. She continued to wash the skirts from the tables for the receptions and store them at her home long after she was no longer in charge. And we always had great conversations as we bowled together for many years. We were truly blessed when God brought this wonderful couple into our lives. May we always remember them when we see cardinals in our yard!! Lyle and Debbie Heggemeier

Doris was my first cousin and our families were always close. I was very lucky to have known her all my life. With her pleasant nature and intelligence my husband and I always enjoyed being with her. And Doris' Christmas card was the BEST with her letter recapping her family's activities for the year. We will miss her.

To Doris’s Family: We will miss Doris and Bill, both classy, kind human beings. We enjoyed playing bridge with Doris and Bill, then Doris after Bill’s passing. We admired Doris’s resilience when she was left on her own. Thank you for sharing so much about your mom/grandma/great-grandma. We knew a fair amount about Doris, but now we know the rest of the story! May our gracious and loving God bring you comfort and peace.
