Dear Jerry, Pam, and Tom, I am so glad that you had this wonderfully giving woman in your lives for so long. My memories of Jean harken back to the "good old days" of Penfield Junior High School when wives of staff were as welcoming to new teachers (me, for one) as were their spouses. Jean was always so warm and friendly to me when I would see her at back to school occasions when Pam was in my English class, when she took care of me at the credit union, or when I would see her out at breakfast with Jerry. God bless your soul, Jean. With love to your family. Pat (nee Cullen)

Aunt Jean will be missed by many, including myself! She was a giving, warm, and welcoming soul. She knew how to love and encourage those around her in a deeply meaningful way. Love to her and all her family.

Our daughter, Mary Kay, never knew a biological grandmother, as both had passed before she was old enough to remember. She took Jean and Jerry as her own, and they accepted her as if she was their granddaughter. She would sometimes run across barefoot in the early morning and hop in bed, cold feet and all, with them. They enriched her life, both very special people in all our lives.
We used to love sitting around the Pethic campfire listening the family sing four part harmony. Memorable times.

It is hard to pick just a few memories of the times shared with Jean. I loved her dearly. Her welcoming me into the family-her own, the barbershop family and the Higley family. Watching ice skating on TV and not getting mad when I melted her pan lid on the stove. Sharing stories and trying to solve the world's problems. I will cherish the time on the deck and I will never look at a hummingbird without thinking of Jean. Loss is so difficult and I hope you all find comfort knowing how loved she was and how much she loved . God rest her soul.

My deepest condolences to the family. I find comfort that such a beautiful servant is now resting while and pain free. Mama Jean was always good for a laugh, a word of encouragement and of course a Gin and Tonic. What a beautiful woman. She was an inspiration and a powerful woman. Love Mich

This news leaves a hole in my heart for the loss of a great person. "Aunt Jean" was a huge part of summers growing up at Higley. Tonight I hoist a Gin and tonic in her memory.
RIP Jean

When Jean was at Crest, she loved to get involved and is all the fun. Her devotion to her husband, family and all the friends she made. I loved joking with Jean and she wanted to change my name to Ruth. So I became June Ruth. Sending my love to all the family.
