Rukka maami and athe. She is both athe and maami to me. What a great lady she was!!. I remember her bringing tasty hot 'poha' to our house at Vidyaranyapura. And laddu, it had a unique taste and never have I tasted such laddu. Both Sheenanna maama and Rukka maami are gem of people - very hospitable, kind and with lot of love and warmth. Her memories are flooding my mind right from Sholapur days, trip to pandrapur, that sugarcane juice center, Jayshree and Jayalakshmi's music room, a round on Shenanna maama's lambretta scooter before he leaving to college. I remember that when I was young, probably 8 or 9 years, I had gone out to play and had fallen down injuring my palm. My entire weight fell on my palm. Rukka mami applied some ointment and massaged my palm so well, that the pain simply vanished. She had magic in her hand. The touch of Rukka mami and my father were very similar. They were the best of buddies and siblings. I miss them a lot!!. Anyways they have all joined up now
