The infamous--Mr. Girvin!! When I started at Kronenberger Mfg in 2000 he sounded like a myth or a legend. I would soon learn that I would call his extension 109 multiple times a day requesting help or asking for a favor. Today, extension 109 will ring through to me as I sit at what was his desk. I will never be able to fill the shoes he left behind but I endeavor to give my all to KMC to make sure all his years of hard work were worth it.
I think my favorite memory is how he could make me laugh!! A million little memories all rolled together that easily put a smile on my face. To see him bent at the waist and slapping his knees in laughter was one of my favorite sights. We teased each other endlessly and I have missed him often since the day he left KMC for the last time.
In a predominantly male environment, I have always felt that I needed more knowledge to prove my worth. John never seemed annoyed by my questions and was always patient when trying to explain what I wanted to learn. I can't pass a yellow Corvette without turning my head to see if it is him and Maureen headed to Red Osier for a strawberry daiquiri.
