Dear Lita and family, We are deeply sorry to hear of your loss of Max. There is too much to list of who he was in our eyes. He was a gentle, humble, intelligent, wonderful man and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Knowing Max was seeing how he enjoyed life was such an honor. May he rest in piece. He will never be forgotten by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him and having great conversations. It's always hard to lose the ones we love, death is a part of life. It's not something that just happens. Max's life was fuller than many And his was long and memorable. God bless all of you. Our deepest sympathy with much love. Mike Nancy and family.

As Chaplain among his Bulge comrades Max represented the heart and soul of their companionship of shared experiences, that those of us who benefited from their youthful sacrifices can only, gratefully, imagine.
