Calling Hours
Obituary of Michael S. Hutton, Sr.
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael S. Hutton Sr. He passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Saturday, June 3, 2023, following a 34-month-long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; daughter Katie and son-in-law, David Monson, son Michael; grandchildren, Jaxon, Mason, Cambree, and Emersyn; sister, Karen, brother, Kenneth (Kim); sister-in-law, Virginia (Mark) Schroeder; aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces and best friend, Don Wischmeyer. Michael was predeceased by his parents, James and Louella Hutton, and brother, Stephen.
He enrolled in the United States Army in 1971. During his time he was stationed at Fort Dix and Nuremberg Germany. In 1977 he was honorably discharged.
In 1984 he was in the graduating class for the Rochester City Fire Department. In 2010 he retired due to an injury sustained on the job. He was very proud of being a firefighter and dedicated his life to helping people.
Following his retirement he spent his spare time at home enjoying music at loud volumes, taking care of his yard, and keeping his vehicles in pristine condition.
He loved his family fiercely and would do anything for them. It was never a question if someone needed him, he would drop everything to help.
He will be greatly missed.
