I worked in his office from 1995 as an intern.
He referred to his female clients as "bitches". My colleague would correct him that "bitches" are female dogs.
He also drank 2 martinis at lunch. Then he would return to the office, pretend to read his mail, and closed his eyes.
He also asked us to reorganize the basement storage. We found sex magazines in there.
As an licensed architect now myself, I do not grieve his existence.

Jim and I met each other in 1955 in the school of architecture at Syracuse University. Our drafting tables were adjacent to each other and we became great friends ever since. Years after graduating my wife and I would meet Jim and Esther either at their leased home or our second home in Maine during many a summer. My mother and father lived in Rochester for many years. During that time I worked for several architectural firms in Rochester and encouraged Jim to locate there when he was looking for work opportunities. Consequently he built a new and long lasting life in Rochester. Jim was a wonderful person and a dear friend. I miss him very much. He passed away three months after my beloved wife, Cynthia, passed away - we were happily married for 54 years. David Kahler, Pittsboro, NC 10 March 23.
