Marjorie Mountain “Margey” Obituary
Margey (Kovacs) Mountain, 71 of Penfield, NY passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Born on January 27, 1951 in Syracuse NY, Margey is survived by her loving husband, Bill; mother Sally Kovacs, and Bill’s children: Ted Mountain and his partner Aylin Tunay of Pittsford; Jill (Mountain) Baker and her husband Dave Baker of Lyndhurst, NJ; and Ted’s children Eric (Buffalo, NY) and Elyssa (Madrid, Spain). She is also survived by her cousins, Janice Hardy (Skaneateles, NY) and Lucille Erlenback (LaFayette, NY)
Margey graduated from Penfield High School and went on to get a bachelor’s degree from Nazareth College.
Margey and Bill were married in 1977, and they lived in Greece, NY; Melbourne, Australia; Penfield, NY; and Southwell, England.
She worked at Eastman Kodak for her entire adult life in multiple executive positions and retired from the company after almost 40 years. Margey also traveled extensively for Kodak, working in Australia, England, Europe and Singapore.
Margey loved planning and hosting family events, visiting her family home on Skaneateles Lake, travel, music, and theater. She was a true dog lover, and she and Bill always had a family dog in their house. She took many trips with Bill and her family including Australia, multiple Asian and European countries and many destinations around the US and Canada.
She will be dearly missed.
The family will be holding a private service. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider a donation in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
