Obituary of Melissa Hamilton Overacker

Lisa H. Overacker 

Fairport – Lisa passed away peacefully in her home on December 1, 2022 at the age of 69 beside her loving family and husband. 

Lisa is predeceased by her father, John Hamilton, and mother, Lois Thompson. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Gary Overacker, her two sons, John Overacker 38 (Beverly) and Stephen Overacker 37 (Sara), two beautiful grandchildren, Ryan8, and Rachel 4, and her two siblings, Sara Stirk (Dennis) and Jack Hamilton (Karen). 

As a woman of faith, Lisa was passionately involved in supporting the long-standing parishioners of her congregation at St. Thomas Church. Lisa was a registered nurse who worked in numerous hospitals and establishments within Monroe County and believed in supporting others, including her friends, ahead of her own ailments.

Lisa will be deeply missed, and the celebration of her life will take place December 17, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 2000 Highland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618.
