Obituary of Beverly A. Stutzman

Beverly Ann Stutzman (Nee Gaston)

Penfield - On November 26, 2022 at age 94. Bev was born on February 12, 1928 in Greenwich, Connecticut across from her home in Rye, New York. She graduated from Bloomfield, New Jersey High School in 1945, where she as on both the Gym and archery teams and an Air Raid Warden in 1944 and 1945.

Bev was an accomplished ballet dancer from an early age and in the late forties and early fifties was a member of the Newark, New Jersey Civic Ballet.

She gave up her career in the Auditing Department of a New Jersey bank as a secretary in 1951 when she married Andrew J. Stutsman and became a homemaker.

She carried to full term six fine children, Kathy M. Hirt, Andrew P. Stutzman, Kevin G. Stutzman, Joseph A. Stutzman, John W. Stutzman and Michael P. Stutzman.

Bev sang in the St. Joseph’s Church (Penfield) 9:00 AM choir for many years, where she also taught Religious Education and was a Eucharistic Minister and Hospital Volunteer.

Bev was a volunteer at the Shepherd Home from its opening. As a loving mother, grandmother and friend, she will be deeply missed.

A Memorial Mass will be held in the Spring at St. Joseph’s Church.
