Obituary of William Forest Reber
William Forest “Bill” Reber
Penfield – On November 12, 2022 at age 93. Bill was born in Akron, NY on July 14, 1929 to Forest and Helen Reber. He graduated from Akron High School and spent 4 years as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy serving in the Korean War. After returning from war, he graduated from the Simmons School of Mortuary Science and served for many years in the funeral business. He retired from DeCarolis Truck Rental as the Vice-President of sales.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Shirley; sons, Timothy (Lin), Stephen (John Henley) and Thomas (Anne); grandchildren, Melissa (Tony), Jennifer (Tim), Chelsea and Will (Allison); great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Andrew, Laney, Tallan, Wyatt and Scarlett; sister-in-law, Marge Waterstreet; several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother-in-law, Dr. D. Douglas Waterstreet.
Family and friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Sunday, November 20, 2-4 PM. Bill’s Funeral Mass will be held Monday, 11 AM at St. Thomas More Church, 2617 East Avenue, Rochester. Interment White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to St. Thomas More Church, 2617 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14610, Shepherd Home 1959 Five Mile Line Rd, Penfield, NY 14526 or Braman American Legion Post #1229, 1707 Penfield Road, Penfield, NY 14625 in Bill’s memory.
