Obituary of Paul Levesque

Paul Victor Levesque, 84, New York City, NY passed away on October 21, 2022, in Rochester, NY.

Paul was born in New York City, NY on Dec 2, 1937, to Victor and Alice Levesque. In 1953, at age 15, he graduated from the Bronx High School of Science. Paul then earned a Bachelor of Arts from New York University in Motion Pictures in 1957 and went on to earn a Masters in Leadership in the Field of Publishing in 1961. Paul used that degree to become a senior editor at Scholastic’s AMSCO branch.

Paul was appreciated for his rigorous attention to detail as well as for the dignity and intelligence that he brought to his work. 

Paul’s dignity followed him to his final years at Penfield Place where he received consummate care and love from the staff during the most difficult pandemic circumstances.

Paul is survived by his second cousins, Richard Brzustowicz (Chih hui), Thaddeus (Tama), Victoria (Jim), Barbara, Teresa (David), Krystyna, and Mary (Eloy), dear childhood friends Alice Tsilibes and Anoush Miridjanian, and his new, but also dear friends at Penfield Place.

There will be a funeral mass on Wednesday, November 2 at 10 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 150 Varinna Dr, Rochester, NY 14618 followed by interment at White Haven Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to New York University in Paul’s name. The family would like to thank Paul’s attorney, Jon Biondo, as well as  the staff at Penfield Place for their superior care.
