John C. “Jack” Schottmiller
 

Passed away August 5, 2022, one day shy of his 92nd birthday. Predeceased by his wife, Anne; son, John, Jr.; and daughter, Julia Anne Koestner. Survived by his brothers, Raymond (Tina) and Richard (Marcia); his granddaughter, Amandine; two great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Gratitude is extended to Susan, Phil and Konrad for their dedication, compassion and care in Jack’s final months.
 

Dr. Schottmiller held a B.S.  from the University of Rochester and a Ph.D. from Syracuse University. At Xerox, where he worked for 27 years, he was the pioneer of Total Quality Management; upon retirement, he founded his own consulting firm. Jack’s career allowed him and his family to travel the world, a passion he enjoyed his whole life. In 2016, the University of Rochester School of Nursing recognized him with its Legacy Award for his leadership, philanthropy and community spirit. 
 

Family will greet friends at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 26 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 26 Mendon-Ionia Rd., Mendon, NY  14506. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. with a reception immediately following. Interment private. In honor of a life well lived, please consider a donation to St. Catherine of Siena Church.
