Obituary of Stanley Charles Austin

Stanley C. Austin (Stan) of Victor, Formerly of Fairport, NY, born in Elyria, OH passed away on August 4, 2022. Survived by his wife Char of 55 years; daughters, Kimberly (Nate) Harvey and Michelle Austin (John Franchot); “Son” Erik (Aarti) Williams and their children Indranee and Neel; grandchildren, Austin Charles Stritzel and Jackson Cannon Austin- Franchot; brother, Donald (Faye) Austin; sister-in-law, Cheryl Young; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends; four legged children; Rory Harvey, Misty Austin, Bailey Franchot, Coltrane Austin and Mazy May Harvey.
Stan was a 51+ year member of the Fairport Fire Department having served as Company Captain, Department President, and Department Safety Officer from 1993 until present. He was also a member of the Monroe County Fire Department Safety Officers Association.
A retiree of Xerox with over 35+ years of service, Stan started his own successful small business providing home repair services for his community and most recently for neighbors and friends. Stan was a very active member of the First Baptist church of Fairport for decades. Boating, camping, and dog walks were among his most treasured outdoor activities with family time as the most important.
His family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff of Rochester Regional Health and Lipton Cancer Center for the care given to Stan.
Family and friends are invited to call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road Wednesday, August 10, 2022, 4-7PM. A celebration of Stan’s life will be held Sunday, August 28, 2022, 3:30PM at the First Baptist Church of Fairport, 92 S. Main St., Fairport. A reception will follow at the Fairport Fire Hall, 27 East Church St., Fairport. In lieu of flowers kindly consider donations to Lollypop Farm or your local fire department in Stan's memory.
