Obituary of Gary W. Printy
Passed away on June 20, 2022. Gary was born in Rochester in 1937. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Robert Printy, wife, Joyce, brother, "Bob" Printy, and step-son, Todd Gregoire. He is survived by his second wife, Sally, sons, Robert (Melissa), Richard (Dawn), daughter, Pam (Gregory) Pedersen; 7 grandchildren; step-children, Yvette (Noel) Cummings, Mark (Tina) Gregoire, Barry (Denise) Gregoire, Nicole Gregoire and Carolyn Gregoire; 9 step grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and sisters-in-law, Elizabeth "Bess" Printy, Carol Sonnenfroh and Jean Van Scott, nieces and nephews.
Gary was a retired Captain in the Brighton Police Dept., a volunteer firefighter for the Brighton Fire Department, a Commissioner and a Battalion Chief for the Brighton District, a bus driver for the Pittsford School District, a member of the Masonic Lodge Fairport-Flower City Lodge #476 F. & A.M. and a member of the East Rochester Fire Dept. Exempts.
Interment will be private. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Brighton Fire House #1, 3100 East Avenue on Saturday, July 9 at 10 a.m. The family requests those attending to please wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, kindly consider the American Cancer Society (restricted to research please) or the Brighton Fire Department, 3100 East Avenue, Rochester 14610.
