Carol Graziano

Obituary of Carol Ann Graziano

Carol A Klaver Graziano "Babci" of Irondequoit, New York, gained her heavenly wings on May 9th, 2022 at 10:43 pm, (143) after a recent cancer diagnosis at age 77.

On Flag Day, June 14th, 1944, Carol was born at Genesee Hospital and was raised in Webster, NY, where she graduated from Webster High School. Carol is predeceased by her parents, Emil and Bertha Klaver, and her little sister, Marsha Federico. Carol lives on through her sons, Jamie (Maggie) and Patrick Graziano, grandchildren, Kayleigh (Matthew) Williams and Alec Graziano, great-grandchildren Carter, Anthony, and Trey, several cousins, and an abundance of friends, especially Justine Lathan-Arthur, Madge Callari and Helen and Dave Ferge, who provided so much love and support these past several weeks.

Carol accomplished many things in her life, from raising her two sons to winning "Best in Show" at the Park Avenue Art Festival in 1990. Carol was a familiar, happy face at all the local art festivals for decades, where she shared her love and beauty through her Adoughables. Wedding cake toppers were a specialty of Carol's, and through this, she developed long-lasting friendships with many people. Pavilion Gift Company brought Carol’s talents to the next level, after meeting her at the Park Ave festival in 2001. Her handmade designs were reproduced as "Kneeded Angels." and sold around the world through Avon and Hallmark starting in 2002. Carol wrote an autobiography titled, “ When Perseverance meets Opportunity”, creating only the beginning of her newfound legacy.

Carol always followed her heart and only did things that brought her joy; her grandchildren Kayleigh and Alec were an essential part of her life.  Together they threw caution to the wind, broke the rules and created lifelong traditions.  Carol's close family and friends will have lasting memories of her in her best and final moments, thanks to hospice care provided by the Shepherd Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Shepherd Home, 1959 Five Mile Line Road, Penfield, NY 14526 or www.sheperdhome.org to allow them to continue providing the love and support they showed Carol, as well as her family over the past weeks.

All who have met Carol have a special story to share and to remember her by, she made everyone feel loved. It was Carol's wish for family and friends to gather in joy and remembrance. Laughter and no tears. A celebration of life will be held on June 14th, 2022 from 5pm-9pm at The Waterfront Lodge at Abraham Lincoln Park.
