I had the pleasure of having Mrs. Parnell for my first grade teacher at Winslow in 1968. She was one of those teachers who left footprints on your heart. I hope it comforts the family to know how many hearts she touched and how many young children she influenced. Rest in Peace Mrs. Parnell. Your former student, Joy Manis Piekunka

Mrs. Parnell was my second grade teacher. I loved her! We sang My Country Tis of Thee every morning!Mrs. Parnell is one of the teachers that influenced me to become a teacher. I am sorry to hear that she has passed. But please know that she touched many lives and parts of her wisdom continue on in the minds and souls of "her kids".

Your Mom was such a giver. She always asked to help when I was in the hospital so many times and took my husband Joe to see me, since he is blind. She always made food for us when I was laid up. We always looked forward to her yearly wreath at Christmas! We will always remember her kindnesses. She will be greatly missed by us.

Aunt Rosemary first taught me the joys of grated parmesan on popcorn! She taught me a great deal about what it means to open your home to those who are less fortunate. She was a warm and wonderful woman who's straightforward, yet kind demeanor will be greatly missed.
