My deepest condolences to Marie and the entire family. I was so sad to learn of Dick's passing. I was a fiddle student of Dick's and began studying with him shortly after I retired in 2019, Regrettably COVID brought our lessons to a halt and it has been two years since I last had the pleasure of playing fiddle and laughing with my gifted teacher. I delighted in the stories Dick shared with me about his children, grandchildren, and of course Marie.
Peace & love,
Liz Hoyler

I fondly recall working occasionally with Dr Bolt at Kodak and I held great respect for his kind and competent care for employees. Janice Smith RN

Dick was a wonderful friend, band mate and teacher. I have learned so much from Dick. I don't have the words to say how much I will miss him. His humor and the joy of making music with him. Dick was a true friend and family.

Dear Marie and Family: Dick was a fabulous and fun musician to work with at the Genesee Country Village. Once, shortly after my father died, four of us from the Flint Hill Folk had an evening performance. I was feeling pretty sad and was trying hard to do a good job. There was Dick though, giving a full 100%, musically, spiritually and energetically! It made ALL of us feel great. Afterwards I commented on his amazing exuberance. Dick said he actually felt totally depleted, having worked all day beforehand. He never showed that to us or the audience. A truely inspiring professional and super fellow who will be sadly missed by all!

My dear Uncle Dick Bolt was a fine musician, and even finer human being. I will miss his smile, warm voice, hearty laugh, and soulful sounds of his fiddle. I hope he's now enjoying a much deserved eternity on Fiddler's Green as much as I enjoyed knowing him. Here a song to remember him by with his band.
