Rick was important to our whole family. He took family portraits through the years which we still have hanging in our home in Florida. Our son worked for him doing weddings and other photography to help Rick out. Rick was such a warm and friendly guy that our whole family loved him. He was a suburb photographer and will be remembered by our family always.

It was a pleasure to spend time with uncle Ryszard during his visits in Poland.
My Grandma - Irena (aunt of Rick) has been waiting for him impatiently every time he was supposed to visit us in Poland. Our family will miss him very much.

Rick has been a friend to me for forty years – which is also our age difference. Over time Rick became a daily presence in my life. We would talk on the phone to check in on each other. He would come by for brunch, most Sundays, and then stay and relax with me for a bit. He was a more a part of the family than just a friend. Sometimes he would take me out on adventures; take me for rides to see the lilacs, the lake, the fall leaves, the Christmas lights. We loved going to our favorite Indian restaurant and enjoyed all the good food, with a cup of chai, and watch the videos displayed there. We shared meals together. We laughed a lot. We shared our thoughts on life. He was a true friend and I will miss him dearly.
with love to his family,
Claire M Brown

Dear Alyssa & Amanda,
I knew your Dad through my brother Alan, who was friends with Rick for years. I encountered him at my sister’s house, where he came for dinner, and at both my parents’ funerals in Newark. I liked him instantly for his sincere kindness and honesty. He was surely a man amongst men. I can only wish I had known him longer. I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Rick in 2005 when he invited me to visit him, took me to Niagra Falls and showed me around Finger Lakes. He was a distant relative but always treated me with kindness and I felt like he is my family. The last time we met was 3 years ago during his visit to Poland when he visited my family. He always kept in touch and valued his Polish roots which I appreciate. I will miss him a lot!

Deepest sympathies to all. Rick was a good soul, a genuine person and friend. His portaraiture was outstanding. He took the only picture of me in my longer haired college days that my mom actually liked and displayed on her wall. He was quirky and fun to be with and will be missed by all.

A classmate, a scholar, one of the Sci-Fi group and most importantly, a friend. Rick always had a good attitude and his quirkiness always kept everyone laughing. We will miss you Rick.

Rick was a great person. We went to school together for many years, at St Andrew's and Bishop Kearney. We used to joke all the time about sharing the same birthday. He was also a great photographer, who was rarely seen without his camera.

I met Rick 40 Years ago when he took my engagement/wedding photos. I was so impressed with his work. Such a wonderful demeanor. So quiet and so soft spoken. He then photographed each of my five children around their first birthdays. all five in the same white chair. ironically, the "kids" were all commenting on their pictures...what they wore and how they were all in that chair. he was amazing with them.
i am sorry for your loss of a wonderful man.

Rick is a friend who has touched our lives in many ways, for many years. He was a remarkable optimist. A great story teller. And had a wonderful sense of humor. He was loving, kind, and generous. Rick, in every way, lived up to his own high ideals and values and we admired him for that. Whenever we think of Rick, we will smile and feel the warmth of his love. To his family we send our condolences and you know that he will not be forgotten.

I knew Rick for many years, first through Rotary. He worked with me on several projects and was a very friendly and calming personality. Also did some of our best family pictures as our children grew up. May you find peace in knowing that many others knew and felt Rick's very great and caring personality - he will be thought of and remembered.

I have felt blessed to have known Rick these past 5 years through Claire. We spent so many Sunday’s together enjoying little road trips, many walks and afternoon visits with Claire. It was always special putting up Claire’s Christmas tree and lights each Christmas.
Rick was always selfless and loving in all that he did! Rick truly “walked the walk” with his faith daily and encouraged my faith! Rick will always bring a smile to my heart! ❤️ Janis Born

I first met Rick while working at JB Hunter. I worked in sporting goods and Rick worked in toys. We became fast friends. We would go to Proiettis Pizza frequently after work. We went so often I got a little pudgy. While in college we hung out at Nazareth College a lot and we often checked out new bars and night clubs. Those were really fun times.
Rick had a way of making you feel important and at ease. He was a loyal friend and a great human being. He embodied what we all should be like. It was an honor to be his friend and it was an honor to have him be the best man at my wedding. I am sure heaven welcomed him with open arms.

Best friend, loving soul, artist with a camera, devoted husband and father, goofball pal, believing Christian -- Rick was the whole package.
To his sweet daughters -- Always remember you had a special dad who lit a thousand candles with his life. When you're low or lost, follow his light, let him lead the way.
Ricky, glad to know you knew the Lord and know Him better now than you ever could here below. Will be seeing you again, good friend and brother in Christ. Amen.

Rick was a great guy and good friend. Starting in high school and then into college at RIT, from skiing nights at Bristol Mountain to going to Professional Photographers of America seminars in the Catskills. I've put together an array of photos dating back over 50 years that bring a smile to my face when I see them. I don't every recall seeing him angry or upset... just a good natured friend who was always happy to see or hear from me. Bye Rick, you made a difference and you’ll be missed.

My memories of Rick will always be of his kindness, soft expressions and sincere concern for all his family and friends. I knew him since grammar school days at St Andrew School and throughout high school and beyond. Played in a "garage band" with him and his brother Henry and spent a huge amount of time playing board games a this home on Lux St., going golfing and just having fun. Enjoyed times meeting at restaurants, coffee shops and alike with other buddies over the years. A truly loving, giving and prayerful man. Rick has a special place with Our Lord in Heaven. Love You Rick.

Rick had one of the kindest, gentlest souls of any person I know. Wendy and he raised two strong, independent daughters that would make any parent proud. He was always there for his friends and those in need. I miss him, but know he is at peace and not in pain any longer (not that he ever admitted to being anything but "great"). I will try and honor his memory by spreading his kindness.
