i am so sad to hear of Uncle Bill's passing. i watched the memorial video this morning before i went for my daily walk at a memorial park where there is a Prayer Chapel... i left a prayer in the chapel today reading, "Forever Fishing, RIP Uncle Bill".
i was on the fishing trip with Mike and that was the best fishing trip ever! fishing out of canoes on beaver dam ponds for small trout and cleaning them on the bank by the 100's it seemed with veterinary scissors. i caught the biggest bass of my life (at least at the time!) on that trip and i wanted to keep it and eat it, so Uncle Bill prepared it for me while snickering under his breath, and it kinda tasted like crap. lol
Uncle Bill taught me how to change a flat tire when my family drove to Rochester one summer and ended up with a flat in his driveway. he didn't actually tell me how to do it, but he guided me along and wanted me to try and figure it out for myself first, and then when he had to tell me what to do, he explained why.
Uncle Bill always used to wiggle his ears at the table across from me and crack me up. i think he even had that same extendo-fork that he had in the video and he used it on me a few times.lol
i always admired Uncle Bill for his love for animals as a veterinarian and his love of hunting and fishing as an avid outdoorsman. a wonderful male role model for any child growing up and i cherish my memories of the times spent with him

I'm so sorry for your loss, Bill was a generous and loving man who was so creative and thoughtful. A wonderful father who accepted others and made them feel special. I will forever cherish this beautiful Village that he made for me.

It's so difficult to lose someone so dear to our hearts for so many years, condolences to all. One of my favorite memories happened one very early morning at Linden Ave many years ago. My dad brought us there so we could all go fishing. While everyone was getting ready, Uncle Bill asked if I was hungry, then proceeded to cook me the best scrambled eggs I had ever eaten. I never found out why they tasted so delicious, but I think it must have been his magical whisk of love.
I remember him as a doting husband and father, a skilled chef and doctor, always taking care of so many others, usually with a gleam in his eyes and a twist of his crazy humor.
In 2008, he helped me through the very difficult end of life of my 20+ year-old beloved cat. His talents, patience, big quiet heart, and amazing scrambled eggs will be missed by so many. RIP Uncle Bill. XOX

Bill will be missed in the neighborhood. We will miss his humor, and oh did we love his and Barb’s Raspberry Jam.
His gardening skills and knowledge were much appreciated by his neighbors. Our condolences go out to his family.

So sorry to lose Uncle Bill. He was always so much fun to be around. One of my earliest memories of him was watching hem declaw a cat on Grandma Lenhard's kitchen table. I remember attending his wedding to Barb.
In the mid 70's, I was visiting with my father and one of my brothers. We went on a fishing trip with Bill and Gerard. Early in the morning, we all got into Bill's car. He backed up right into Barb's car, leaving a sizeable dent. He didn't even go in to tell her. He just said, "That's what insurance is for" and we drove off.

Glenn and I are so sorry for your loss. We have a lot of fond memories of visiting the family when we lived in Rochester. I recall one memory from 1982 when Glenn, Paula, Jennifer, and I visited Rochester for Christmas. Uncle Bill showed the veterinary clinic to Paula, who decided right then and there she was going to be a veterinarian.
Our hearts are heavy, and we wish we were able to attend the Mass. May our Lord surround you with his loving arms.
