Obituary of Charles J. Marang

Penfield

 

Passed away on September 30, 2021.  Charles is predeceased by his father and mother, Joseph and Alice, brother, Ronald and his Aunt Selma Pero.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sharon, children, Sheila (Jeff) Eustance, Keith (Lisa) Marang, Audrey (Frank) Sapere, and David (Audra) Marang; grandchildren, Tyler and Zachery Eustance, Christopher (Cassidy) Marang, Frank L. (Katherine) Sapere, Jena Sapere, Anthony Sapere, Maggie Sapere, Mykola Marang and Joseph Marang; great granddaughter, Winona Lynn Sapere, sister, Judith (John) Gilligan, sister-in-law, Rosemary Marang and many nieces and nephews.

 

Chuck graduated from Aquinas Institute in 1955. He went on to Brockport College to receive his Masters Degree in Education and graduated in 1961. He had a prestigious career in education with the Fairport School District for 30 years. He enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with family and friends. His pet dogs played a major role in his life. They were truly “his best friends”. His wife Sharon “Sam” was the love of his life. 

 

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October, 6 from 4-7 pm at the Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Penfield.  Charles’ Funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph’s Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield,  on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10:30 a.m.  Entombment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  

 

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Charles’ memory to the Alzheimer’s Association or a mass card.
