My brother Walt was 13 years older than me, (and my brother John was 15 yrs older). I was always their "can do no wrong" baby sister. When I was very young they were both in the Navy. Walt came home on leave one warm summer day and took me with him to visit my Aunt. While they were in the kitchen talking I ventured outside and decided to climb a telephone pole that was in her yard behind her garage. Big mistake, because once I was high up there, I could not reach down with my foot so I was kinda stuck. I yelled and yelled and probably cried until they heard me. Walt ran out and climbed the pole, in uniform, and got me down. He was my savior then and always. I will miss him so much.
