Ethel M. Jugle
Rochester - Passed away peacefully after a long illness on December 9, 2020 at the age of 83.
Born in Illinois, she is predeceased by her parents, George and Alice Mummert; her husband Don Jugle; sons Jay and Lance Jugle; and sister Aggie (and Heinz) Dresch. She is survived by her son Kip (Julie) Jugle; grandson Connor Jugle and granddaughter Riley Jugle; Brothers in law Tom (Eleanor) Jugle and Andy (Cathy) Jugle; and several nephews and nieces. She will be missed by many cherished friends, and Carol Taylor and family.
Ethel was multi-talented, creative and one of a kind. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, singing in Sweet Adelines and her women’s mystery group. She will be best remembered for her delicious gourmet cooking. Her children and grandchildren marveled at her inventive cakes, gingerbread houses, sugar eggs, and sweet creations that were surely works of art. Her college degree was in physical education and she was always active, fit and so strong. She was generous and selfless with her time and efforts helping others. Her humor, fiestiness and self expression were unforgettable. Services will be held privately with family during the summer due to the pandemic and her wishes.
To honor Ethel’s generosity and love of food, the family will be creating and stocking 2 blessing boxes for the Bloomfield and Bristol areas. Donations can be made and sent to Julie Jugle, 3 East Main Street, Victor, NY 14564 in care of Ethel’s Blessing Box.
