Obituary of Diane S. Dennison
Mrs. Diane Stratton Dennison of Brighton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020, at age 80, at her residence. She was born May 25th, 1940, in Buffalo, the daughter of the late George and Eleanor Stratton. She is predeceased by her brother Arthur Stratton.
Diane is survived by Richard Dennison, the love of her life and husband of 57 years, three children: Dan Dennison, Craig Dennison, Lynelle Vandenberg, one daughter-in-law, Cindy Dennison, one son-in-law, Chuck Vandenberg and 8 grandchildren: Alex, Natasha, Cole, Nicholas, Corina, Quin, Noah and Zachary. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Joan Stratton, niece Jessica Stratton and many dear friends.
Following graduation from Syracuse University, Diane worked as a commercial artist.
Diane enjoyed community service, reading, exercising with her Y friends, cats, gardening, making crafts, traveling and fellowship at Asbury First United Methodist Church. She was a mask-maker and helped keep the Rochester community safe. Mostly, she loved doing things for others.
Nothing made her happier than spending time with grandchildren. She felt blessed to be able to watch them grow up nearby.
Due to Covid restrictions, no public service is scheduled. Donations may be sent to Lollypop Farm or the Storehouse at Asbury First United Methodist Church in her honor.
