Born January 7, 1926 Died November 17, 2020 Daughter of Clarence and Dorothea (Laber) Bourne. Her family, faith, music, travels and volunteering were who she was. Her smile, positive attitude and gentle demeanor were what you would encounter always. Her love of music was demonstrated by serving as a church Youth Choir Director, a soloist for family and friends’ weddings, a member of many church choirs and leading our family’s Christmas singalongs. Her community service also included 35 years volunteering at American Red Cross Blood Drives. She was the last original member of the Candlelight Sewing Club. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother making time for each of us individually and making each feel so important and loved. Pancakes on Sunday when the grandkids were there. Card games (Uno, Skip-Bo, 85), puzzles, hiking and bird watching with the awe and happiness of each activity. She enjoyed her daily libation and snacks at Howdy Dowdy time (4 pm usually) with family and friends. She loved to travel going across our country several times and twice with the trailer. This love also included travelling outside the states. Camping at Hickory Hill with her husband, children and grandchildren that became a permanent site. Winter snowbird in Fort Walton Beach Florida where family and friends were always welcome. Her mantra was: Enjoy your Life. With grateful hearts, we her family, are proud of her life. It was a life well lived.
