Linda was my next door neighbor for over 3 years. I may not have known her but every time we interacted, she was always kind. Over the past few months I looked out for her and helped her with minor things and she was always appreciative. I only recently found out she passed when I went to go give her flowers and a family member informed me she had passed. My condolences to the family.

I have such fond memories of our trips to Rochester growing up and especially hanging out in the garage on Battle Green Way. I will always remember Aunt Linda in her white sneakers and turtleneck - and now surrounded by carnations! I will especially miss her sense of humor - it was dry but oh so good and usually right on. It was a lovely service. Your mom is so proud of you, Sandy and Patty, and your beautiful families. Aunt Linda knew that she was loved and that is the best gift in the world. She will be so missed. Much love, Rachel

What a joy it was to have met Linda ( from New York) and have her as a friend , She always had that beautiful smile and what a blessing it was to set and talk to her. She was a very wise person and gave you her thoughts on the situation even though you may not want to hear them, but always with kindness and a soft voice. I loved her and had the utmost respect for her. I will miss you Linda, ( from New York )but know that you are in a better place. Sing loud...

Sandy,
I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your mom (Linda). We shared some wonderful times at CP Rochester and she simply loved her job working with young children. I ran into Linda a few times at the Bayview Y where she swam laps. We would talk about the good old days and what was going on in our lives. She always spoke so proudly of you, Patty, and she adored grandchildren. Linda always kept things real and never sugar-coated anything. I will be forever grateful for our friendship over the years. She will be deeply missed.

It wasn't Christmas eve if I wasn't at the Hise house with Linda, Jackie, Sandy and Patty. Linda treated me as if I were one of her own whether it was to provide encouragement or a swift kick in the pants. I feel as if a part of my childhood just left. My deepest sympathies Sandy and Patty on the death of your wonderful mom.

I met Linda when I was a brand new teacher at CP Rochester. She taught me more about teaching, patience, and working together with families than I ever learned in school. Thank you Linda for your friendship and wisdom. Sue Fisher
