Dr. Davis took care of my husband in the ED at Strong Memorial when he was experiencing chest pain with no apparent cardiac cause. We had become frequent visitors and always saw a different provider, but I always remembered him for his calm, confident demeanor and pleasant manner. I am so sorry that he is gone and I send condolences to his family.

Dr. Eric Davis took care of me at Strong Memorial ED. He was the kindest doctor and truly cared about each person. I just had a Chemo treatment and the pain I was experiencing in my nerve endings were horrible. He immediately came right over to me and asked me some questions and started to relieve me of my pain with medication. He kept coming in to see me every few minutes. I will never forget him and that was 14 years ago. May you Rest In Peace.

Dr. Davis was an inspiration to me in my development as an EMS provider. I was an RN prior to becoming an EMT, and I valued every thing he shared and all that he contributed to EMS as while linked, care in the field was different and the same all at one time. His energy and dedication to all he stood for is a rare thing. He is missed.

I will never forget the dozens of Board Exam reviews Dr. Davis would present. He had a passion for emergency medicine and was always up to date on the latest articles on just about any topic in the field. He was fun to work with on a shift, and he would crack subtle jokes throughout the day. He dealt with frustrating situations on shift with humor, which I have tried to emulate in my practice. I appreciate all he taught me, and I'm grateful for Dr. Davis's example.

I will miss Dr. Davis deeply. I wish I had half the skill, knowledge and passion to help other people as much as Dr. Davis did, whether it is a patient, student, resident, or other colleague. He taught us so much about medicine and how to take care of people. Really going to miss him and the excellence he brought to the table.

Eric Davis embodied the perfect teaching physician. He educated but also gave many training physicians confidence to thrive in a challenging place to work. He has been and will be greatly missed. Think of all the people he has helped directly, then all the people his trainees have helped. Truly touched many lives, and always did it with compassion. Miss you Dr. Davis, great mentor and friend.

While we were neighbors you were usually working but always available if needed. When you "retired" we looked forward to seeing you when we visited "the old neighborhood ". As Our Lord holds you in his arms may you feel at peace and know how much you are missed by all that could call you friend. How lucky we have been!

Eric was one of the kindest physicians that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and working with. He was very welcoming when I first began my URMC medical center journey in 2001. I also had interactions when I was EMS Chief of NEQ . Peace be with you Eric and watch over all of us.

This man was an incredible human being. I had the privilege of Working with him in the SMH emergency department. He had an amazing sense of humor. I remember one night, getting off the phone with my daughter who called me to say she just found a tick in her hair and had to the medical treatment for this. Since I had just been with her, I turned to the first doctor I saw, it was Eric, and I asked him to run his hands through my hair to insure I didn't have a tick. He responded with a silly grin and said in a loud voice for everyone to hear, "I haven't been asked to do this since I was in college!" He was a wonderful medical provider, he cared about his patients and he cared about everyone who was lucky enough to work with him. Rest well my friend, you will be forever remembered by many.
