Obituary of Richard G. Mueller

Richard G. Mueller of Penfield passed away June 9, 2015. He was predeceased by his parents, Julia and Edwin Mueller; brother, Edward and sister, Kathleen Cirre. Richard is survived by his sister, Dorothy Hammond of White Hall, NY; sister-in-law, Dorothy Mueller; nephews, Tom (Cynthia) Filardo, Jr., John (Vicky) Mueller and JP (Sherry) Cirre; nieces, Patricia (Mike) Tazelaar, Chris Remington, and Mary (Paul) Liebert; many great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends. Richard was a very loving "grandfather" to his brother Edward's grandchildren, Brendan, Aaron and Lisa Smith, for which we will always be grateful. A veteran Army and Air Force Pilot in WWII and Korea, Richard trained to be a pilot right out of high school during WWII and served his country faithfully in the Pacific Theater until the war ended. Richard reenlisted in the Air Force when the Korean Conflict started and flew missions over the combat zones in that theater for 2 years and was honorably discharged.
