Obituary of Ann E. Flax
Ann was born in Rochester, New York, June 3, 1929. She had a younger and older brother as well as a loving mother and father. She was married to Marty Flax until his death in 2015.
She had three children, one daughter and two sons.
On March 4, 2020, the world lost one of the most magnetic human beings to light so many folks lives. And was an amazing friend, sister, daughter, mother and presence that fostered joy in so many of our hearts. Besides leaving behind a wake of loved ones, accomplishments, which were working for many organizations as a Social Worker, in Religious and Elder organizations, she spent a lifetime providing service for these groups.
For Ann and Marty, they traveled many times during the summertime to the Southwest. They loved getting involved in and being immersed in the Native American culture.
They also owned a summer house on Canandaigua Lake. The house was originally her parents' home and was later purchased by Ann and Marty. The entire family spent many summers there together. As a girl, Ann also spent summers with her family at that house as well, too.
Both Ann and her family traveled overseas to live and work in England. She also travelled through the Middle East and Europe. She would return to visit with friends. Ann did have an opportunity to have a very fulfilled life.
She has been greatly missed by her family and friends and will continue to be.
