Once in a lifetime, one gets the gift of a Joan Willis. Competent, compassionate and a true friend, Joan’s humility, humor and honor combined into a swirl of love that is remarkably rare and soul changing. I am so grateful for the moments and memories marked by Joan, and promise to attempt to emulate her example of kindness, stillness and sincerity in my remaining days.
