Obituary of Barbara Joan Pike

Barbara Joan Frances (Kirkey) Pike, age 88, of Penfield NY passed away on All Soul's Day, November 2, 2019 with family by her side.  Barbara was the beloved wife of Richard Pike to whom she was married for 66 years.  She was devoted to her family and leaves behind to mourn her husband and their seven children and their spouses: Richard (Rosemary), Lynne (Paul DiSanto), Timothy, Diane (Timothy State), Gary, Daniel (Sally) and Terrence.  She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Jason (Chrystal), Jamie (Douglas), Casey (Christine), Gregory, Christopher, Kali (John), Alexander (Cassandra), Jennifer, Whitney, Daniel Evan, Sarah, Colden and Charlee; five great grandchildren: Kate, Ryan, Luke, Clarke and Genevieve.

Barbara was born in Massena NY to Sydney and Agnes Tyo Kirkey, the youngest of 10 children.  She graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School in Rochester NY.  She was a long time communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Penfield NY.

Calling hours for Barbara will be held on THursday, November 7th fro 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Jennings , Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home.  Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 8th, 11:00am at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, 1975 Baird Road, Penfield. Donations in memory of Barbara may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) or Lifetime Care (www.lifetimecare.com).

Barbara's family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Penfield Place for their loving care during her final months.
