Obituary of Ralph Frederick Tetro

Ralph Tetro of Penfield, NY went to heaven on Friday, May 24, 2019 at St John’s Home in Rochester, NY at age 87. Predeceased by his daughter, Marjorie and son-in-law. Gerry Helmling, one brother and five sisters.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Jane (Morrish) Tetro; his daughters, Vicki Helmling, Sue (Jim) Teasdale and Linda (Jeff) Teglash; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren with one on the way; his brother, Ron (Shirley) Tetro; and sisters Roberta Enoch, Pat Norris and Shirley Lawrence and many cherished nieces and nephews.

He was son of the late Ralph and Laura Tetro. The family moved to the Buffalo, NY area while Ralph was a child. He worked and retired after many years from General Motors. He was a faithful member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Buffalo, NY and then Faith Lutheran Church in Penfield, NY.

Ralph was a dedicated family man, devoted to his dear wife. They were married September 4, 1954 and enjoyed a loving life together. He worked hard and was always there to lend a hand to anyone. He enjoyed getting to know strangers and would strike up a conversation with anyone he came across. He always, always had a joke to share.

Family and friends are invited to Ralph's Funeral Service on Friday, May 31st, 9:00am at JENNINGS, NULTON & MATTLE FUNERAL HOME, 1704 Penfield Road, Penfield, NY 14526. Interment will follow on Friday, May 31st at 1:00pm at ELMLAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 3939 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14217.
