My heart is still broken and bruised. I miss my brother Jon very much! Thank you to all who came to visitation to pay their respects to Jon. What an outpouring of love we all received! I was very happy to meet so many amazing friends of my brother. The Hockey families and the stories still make me smile. Jon was such a great guy! I’ll always miss him- until we meet again in Heaven! I love being your favorite sister!

I will always remember SO many nights around the campfires and Jon always having the most waterproof camp anywhere. We all strived to match his tarping abilities. Loved you Jon and will always miss you.

Tim, Tom, - Karen, Amy, Pam... The dash represents Jon, your beloved brother. That dash holds a lifetime of memories shared with all of you. Our Concrest days will forever hold a special place in my heart. We sure did some crazy things together. Life is so unfair when we are robbed of our loved one who had so much more to do. May you all feel Gods comfort as you move forward without your brother. My heart aches for all of you and the pain you are feeling. I remember Jon from high school, we had a math class together and I just wasn't getting it. He pulled me aside after class one day and said he could help me, and he did. He was a wonderful guy. My heart goes out to his wife and kids as well as the whole Saunders family. So sorry for your loss.

Jon was a force in his beliefs and in his "right" to do this all his way. He couldn't have done that without you all - his wife, his boys and his siblings. You all gave him grace. You gave him unconditional love and you gave him "life." I am humbled by the kindness, love and care you all granted, Jon. He "is" a great guy, a pretty cool cousin - I'll remember that smile/his laugh; his sense of humor, those naughty stories - it makes me smirk, and I think he'd like that. I am looking up and "smirking" at Jon - I know he made it safely...finely. I visualize his skating, golfing and hugging his Mom (Aunt Bunny), my Mom (Aunt Pat) and our grandparents - that reunion sounds amazing. And know this, heaven just got a heck of lot better.
