Obituary of Charles J. Bauerschmidt
Fairport: Went to heaven surrounded by the love of his wife and children. Chuck is predeceased by his infant twin daughters; parents, Margaret and Charlie; brother, George Bauerschmidt; son-in-law, Tim Lewis. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Carol Ann; children: Mary Beth and Steve Verget, Clare and Jim Combs, Meg Lewis, Christine and Bob Topel, Katie and Tim Young, Chuck and Eileen Bauerschmidt, Carol Bauerschmidt and Michael Sadler; 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sisters Lorraine Brown, Carol VanAtta and Gail Bauerschmidt; and brother-in-law, Bob Treacy.
Chuck is an Aquinas grad (1948) and Korean War Veteran. He was the founder, owner and operator of City Pump and Tank Service for 35 years. Chuck was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who loved sailing, golf, playing euchre and making people happy.
The family is grateful for the wonderful attention he received in recent months from his aide, Rosa Hartwick.
Friends may call Friday, December 21, from 3-7 PM at Jennings, Nulton and Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, 10 AM at Church of the Assumption in Fairport. Interment private.
