Obituary of Michael W. Bilous
Penfield :On November 16, 2018 at age 100. Michael is predeceased by his wife, Althea; siblings, Marie, Kay, Sophie and Walter; son-in-law, Mark Edelsberg. He is survived by his children, Tarrie (Mitchell) Thomas, Sharon Edelsberg and Peter (Emma) Bilous; grandchildren, Rebecca (Greg) Mathews, Jesse (Taylor Orr) Edelsberg, Jamie (Eric Aubry) Edelsberg, Ashley Edelsberg, Kimberly Edelsberg, Hank Bilous and Finn Bilous; great-grandchildren, Jack and Brady Mathews; brother, Andrew Bilous; many nieces and nephews.
Michael was born in Rochester, New York on September 24, 1918 to Wasyl and Anna Bilous. He married his devoted wife, Althea E. Treble on December 30, 1950 and they made Penfield their home. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Michael was a WWII Army Veteran who worked in intelligence. He was employed as a machinist at Eastman Kodak Company for 33 years and enjoyed his memberships with the Elks Club and the Rochester Sports Association, where he was once president. Mike could fix anything and spent his leisure time fishing, bowling, enjoying baseball and spending time with his family.
Friends may call Wednesday, November 21, 1-3 PM at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, where a service will follow at 3 PM. Interment private. Grateful for their exceptional care, contributions may be directed to Conesus Lake Nursing Home, 6131 Big Tree Road, Livonia, NY 14487.
