Obituary of Kathleen J. Taddeo

Kathleen Joanne (Meagher) Taddeo, a long-time resident of Penfield, NY passed away peacefully on August 24, 2018 at her home.

Kathy was born in 1942 to Jack and Rita Meagher in Irondequoit, NY and graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School.  As the oldest of five children, Kathy quickly developed the motherly instincts that remained with her throughout her life. In 1965, she married Edward Taddeo, whom she first met at age 12.  After stints in Texas and New Jersey, they settled in Penfield in 1975 where they raised their three sons, Ed, John and Jeff.

Kathy, a woman of strong faith, was amazingly talented both musically and artistically and was nothing but kind to every person she ever met. However, it was the incredible dedication to her husband and sons that defined her as a person.  She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Kathy was the beloved wife of Edward R. Taddeo Jr., for 53 years; devoted mother of Edward (Kim) Taddeo, John (Monica) Taddeo, and Jeff (Christi) Taddeo, grandmother to Jack, Dan, Elizabeth, Drew, Sarah and Will Taddeo.  She is survived by her siblings Mary Pat Tehan, John Meagher and Sue Mansour.  With her passing, she will join her parents Jack and Rita, and her sister Anne in heaven.

Family and friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Penfield, Wednesday 4-7PM.  Kathy’s Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday 10 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield.  Memorial contributions in Kathy’s name may be made to Lifetime Care Home Health Care and Hospice.
